Something I am passionate about is Feng Shui. Feng Shui in simple terms is how the energy of a space flows. Feng Shui was the introduction into my psychic ability. I was reading the energy of rooms and objects long before I read the energy of people. It was something that came to me naturally. I was one of those weird kids with a perfectly organized room. How things were arranged in my room was very important to me. I could feel the energy of objects. Somehow I intuitively understood the importance of where they were placed and how they affected each other.
Feng Shui connects to all areas of our life like Health, Money, Career, Relationships, and Family. If you are not getting the results you want in an area of your life, I suggest you look at your Feng Shui. Is the energy in your home or space flowing and open or is it stuck and repelling what you want? Once, I had a male client who told me, "I don't want a serious relationship, but I keep attracting women who want marriage." When I looked at the Feng Shui of his home, the reasons were clear. His home was screaming, "Bring me a female partner!" He had a male dog and a female dog. He had a male cat and a female cat. He had a large, square, masculine leather chair on the left and an oval, feminine print chair on the right with a table in between. He had beautiful art of women on the walls and when I opened his medicine cabinet there was an empty self begging to be filled with feminine energy. His Feng Shui was ideal for bringing in a relationship. I told him if he wanted to stop attracting women who wanted permanence, then he needed to "Yang" up the place. Think bachelor pad and what repels women; add a basket ball hoop in the living room or beer posters. I said, "Separate the chairs, put the Yin chair in the opposite corner and fill the medicine cabinet with your personal needs or bachelor things like condoms."
Usually, my consultations go the other way. Most of the time, someone wants to bring in a permanent relationship. If this is you, I recommend making space or creating a void for the universe to fill. Are you willing to create space in your closets to bring in a relationship? Do you have a place for your new partner to sit or an empty drawer for them to keep their things? Take into consideration how Yin (Female) or Yang (Male) is the décor in your home? How comfortable would the opposite sex be in your environment? I visited one of my girlfriends after her divorce when she was finally ready for a new relationship. I walked in her bedroom and said, "Good luck getting a guy to stay in here. They may pass through like a trip through Victoria's Secret, but they aren't going to settle in and stay." It was way too feminine! She had pink bedding, lots of pillows, sparkles, feathers and fringe in her décor. To crown it off, she had her childhood teddy bear sitting in the middle her bed... a big NO! After her divorce she had decorated her room with all the things that she loved and made her feel good. It served her well, but if she wanted a new man in her life she needed to balance the Yin-Yang energy in her room.
Feng Shui touches much more than our relationships; it affects our money, career, family and can be an indicator of our heath. Our external world is a mirror for our internal world. Life is energy and energy is life!
