NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR REGIONAL FACILITATORS!
Every year, three of the terms of the Network's Regional Facilitators positions are up for election or renewal. The Network's Regional Facilitators are the link between the Network "organization" (and we use that term loosely) and the Network on a local level. They facilitate communication with synods, promotion of the Network and local and regional Networking. This year, Regions 3, 7 & 9 are all up for election. Also, Erin Morris, our Region 2 facilitator has taken a new call out of her region, so her election will be holding a special election. For more information on the role or the facilitators, or to nominate yourself or someone else, go to the Regional Facilitators Home Page. |
A few weeks back I mentioned a way to use MOV files within PowerPoint by inserting them as an object and calling out to another program to play the video file. It was an imperfect solution and I really wasn't happy with it. I've been looking for a way to reliably convert MOV files into WMV files so that PowerPoint would let me use them within presentations. Finally, thanks to GeekBreek.TV with Cali Lewis #464, I've found it. FormatFactory handles all sorts of media format conversions on Windows. Read more. . . |
O come, thou Dayspring, come and cheer our spirits by thine advent here; disperse the gloomy clouds of night, and death's dark shadows put to flight.
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to you, O Israel.

Something for the Heart:
by Jacqui Thone
O Come, Emmanuel. . .
O Come, O Come Emmanuel And ransom captive Israel That mourns in lonely exile here Until the Son of God appear. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to you O Israel.
Imagine waking up one morning and suddenly your home is no longer your own, you have been forced to move to a country where you don't speak the language or understand the customs, or even know how to eat their food? You are separated from everything you know, including possible your family. In the sixth century B.C. - 600 years before Jesus was born, the people of Israel were captured by the Babylonians. Many were deported to a foreign country where they were forced to live and work by someone else's rules. Life as they knew it had changed - they were outsiders, exiles in a foreign land.
