SPECTRUM JOINS STATEWIDE LGBT COALITION TO SAVE
THE FAIR ACT
Take action with us!
Spectrum LGBT Center is working to protect the FAIR Education Act as part of a broad coalition, including Equality California, GSA Network, people of faith, labor organizations, LGBT groups, disability rights advocates, racial justice organizations and many more who care about equality.
Anti-LGBT extremists are coming after the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community AGAIN! But we can and must stop them.
The FAIR Education Act requires schools to teach the history of LGBT people and people with disabilities in age-appropriate ways in California classrooms. We know this kind of information ends stigma and will save lives, yet anti-equality groups want to repeal this life-saving and truth-telling law.
Here's what we need you to do:
(1) Watch the videos at www.FAIREducationAction.com and vote for your favorite.
(2) Share your favorite video with friends and family. Then, post the videos on Facebook, share on Twitter, and ask supporters of equality to join you in making a contribution and supporting the campaign.
(3) Take action by telling your friends and family why you want their support for FAIR - go to www.FAIREducationAction.com to learn what you can do to protect schools from anti-equality extremists.
We're counting on you to help us make sure every supporter of equality and truth across California understands exactly who will be hurt-our children-by anti-equality extremists' campaign of lies and scare tactics.
Thanks for getting involved! |

CALIFORNIA REDUCING DISPARITIES PROJECT:
TAKE THE SURVEY
LINK TO THE SURVEY
Many LGBT people face discrimination simply for being who they are. This discrimination takes its toll on LGBT communities, causing many LGBT people to struggle with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, substance abuse and suicidal thoughts.
The mission of the Reducing Disparities Project is to assess the mental wellness needs of LGBT communities across the state of California and make even better assistance available.
This survey is for everyone! And the study needs your voice to document the true diversity of our communities so that the ways we are treated unequally can be recognized. Spectrum is assisting with the distribution of the survey here in the North Bay. The goal is to have at least 2,500 people take the survey within the next two months. Help us reach that goal by taking the survey, and sending the survey on to friends and family in California. THANK YOU! |
