PSA Remains the Best Test

Doc AHoF
Scientists are looking hard for a better "biomarker" of prostate cancer than the prostate-specific antigen ( PSA ) test.

Having been through this one personally and with my special training in public health I feel obliged to add my opinion.

The PSA test by itself is not expensive - a simple blood test. It is what comes after a positive test value that makes the costs escalate. I hope my thoughts will allow you to make a rational judgment when you read negative views about PSA testing.

Vitamins
Dr Graveline - cream

Vitamin C
One could say that the true story of vitamin C and its effect on our bodies began many millions of years ago when a mutation occurring in our ancestors caused early primates and man to lose their pre-existing ability to synthesize vitamin C.
The parent molecule evolved into lipoprotein (a).
Aging and Vitamin C

Vitamin D
Researchers in the field are sufficiently concerned from the results of their studies to pronounce that we are in the midst of an epidemic of vitamin D deficiency of immense proportion.
Study after study of nursing home populations, of nursing mothers, of healthy male and female volunteers and of various children's groups have consistently documented how relatively rare it is to have optimal levels of Vitamin D.

Folic Acid
Dr. Kilmer McCully, author of The Homocysteine Revolution, fought for years to have foods supplemented with folic acid. During this time he reviewed numerous studies of the American diet and found that subnormal values for this vital supplement were the rule rather than the exception across all ages and races in the United States.

McCully had learned of the importance of folic acid along with vitamins B6 and B12 in helping to maintain normal values of homocysteine. When any of these three vitamins were insufficient, homocysteine levels rose paralleling a tendency for atherosclerosis and other degenerative changes of the arteries.

"The Statin Damage Crisis" by Dr. Duane Graveline MD

BooksDr Graveline's third book on statins called "The Statin Damage Crisis" is now available.

Originally planned as a new edition to "Statin Drugs Side Effects," it has been released as a stand alone title so that the highly relevant material in "SDSE" will still be available.

Dr Graveline wrote the following introduction to this latest title:

Early on my NASA doctors told me my amnesia response to statins was nothing but a coincidence but I persevered to write my first book, "Lipitor, Thief of Memory" and now find that over 1,000 cases of amnesia and memory loss have been reported to the FDA, just from Lipitor alone.

Then I learned of statin damage to nerves and muscles and profound behavioral and personality changes, demanding I write a second book, "Statin Drugs Side Effects." Even this broadly encompassing book was insufficient to describe what I have learned more recently of the truly dark side of statins - their ability to alter the very fabric of our makeup.

I had long wondered why muscle and nerve damage seemed permanent and even progressive like my own ALS-like condition. Now I have found that the ultimate effect of statins on CoQ10 and dolichols is to damage the DNA of the mitochondrial life - force within our cells - mitochondrial mutation masquerading as premature old age.
