This Week: Always be Impeccable with Your Word" 

Many people who read The Four Agreements, by don Miguel Ruiz, misunderstand his explanation of being impeccable with your word. It is interpreted to mean being honest, telling the truth, keeping commitments, and not stealing pencils from the office. 

If you read closely, you will understand that Miguel is inviting us to never use our word against ourselves-- and that is being impeccable. The first relationship we need to become conscious of is the one with ourselves. Do you hear your inner judge using his word against you by judging you and stealing your power?

We cannot enter into open conscious relationship with a beloved or anyone else until we are clear about these often abusive inner voices-- in ourselves and our partner. We cannot maintain clear agreements with others when our inner voices are using their word against us.
