"Some Words About Chacala"
(The True Meaning of Heaven On Earth)
Looking for a winter Paradise? Imagining yourself sitting on a quiet beach, sipping a cold drink, and watching the sunset....like all those photos in the travel ads? Well, look no farther! Chacala is here ~ and it's easy to get to, safe, inexpensive, and "puro Mexico."

Can you see yourself in the photo above? It's a quiet day, the surf is gentle, and you've just wiggled your plastic beach chair into the sand and decided to order the BBQ fish specialty, "sarandeado," and a cold drink at one of the thatched palapa restaurants. You let out a big sigh as your body begins to relax and your mind clears.
THIS is Life!
While you're waiting for your meal, a beach vendor drops by to show you some lovely hand made jewelry, and you realize it is so inexpensive you select some things for yourself and some friends. Pelicans diving for their lunch in the surf catch your eye, and you watch, fascinated, as one after the other they pop from the water with a large fish in their bill. A humpback whale surfaces right in front of you. You remember the magic of this universe you live in.
THIS is Life!
Your lunch is here....

I live in Chacala from November through March. Join me, won't you? I can help you plan the perfect vacation at the beach (great for families, too). I invite you to consider a personal intensive with me there. And I especially invite you to be part of my annual Valentine's Week Relationship Retreat
-- February 10 ~ 14, 2012. Details are here.
A few days ago I received notice of a new video from Chacala on YouTube. Each year on June 1 the town celebrates El Dia de la Marina, Mexico Navy Day. This is a special day throughout Mexico, honoring a part of the constitution in 1917 requiring any vessel flying the Mexican flag be crewed by Mexican nationals-- and a celebration of national pride and identity. This video from Chacala shares the parade, music, dancing, food, and the releasing of a wreath to honor those lost to the sea (Chacala is a fishing village).
The video is special to me because I know and love so many of the locals that are part of the ceremonies. I offer it to you to share a bit of life there. Almost all of the "international" community in Chacala returns north for the summer, myself included (to northern California)-- this June 1 celebration is a window into pure Chacala.

Dia de la Marina en Chacala, Nayarit, Mexico

Chacala is on the semi-tropical west coast of Mexico, in the state of Nayarit (
The Riviera Nayarit), about 90 minutes north of Puerto Vallarto. It is still far enough away from the most traveled tourist paths that there are no high rises, no all inclusive beach resorts with private beaches, no parasailing, and no discos. What you
will find there is a small,
safe Mexican village of warm and friendly people, a gorgeous beach with gentle surf, fresh seafood, lots of winter sun, and small inexpensive lodgings run by locals and internationals.
And you'll find me there in the winter, at my Casa de las Aguilas-- The House of the Eagles-- hosting personal intensives and my Valentine's Week Retreat, working on my house and garden, and sometimes even relaxing at the beach.
Come on down!!! Now is the time to make your plans!! Call or write and I can guide you:

Just Another Chacala Sunset

I rest my case: Come to Chacala this winter!
Oh, but someone from my Valentine's Retreat 2011 has a note to share:
"The expansion of awareness we brought home from our work with Allan in Chacala is still expanding! Our relationship has been truly transformed. The acceptance of ourselves just naturally transfers to acceptance of each other and the world! Wonderful stuff. Thank you so much, Allan!" A.K., Colorado.
Oops, someone else wants to share, too:
"I want to encourage everyone to accept Allan's invitation to spend time in Chacala. What a rare opportunity to enjoy this piece of paradise with it's warm ocean water and soft ocean breezes. We could hear the ocean waves all night as they lapped the shore. It felt like home in just a week... we met such friendly people, went to the big Thursday marketplace in a nearby town, and got to study with Allan. If you can't go for an extra week, at least plan to go for the Valentine's workshop - it is so worth it!!!" K.S., Lake County, CA.
Okay, you've got the idea. The rest is up to you. Get in touch.
Chacala information is here.
My Video invitation to Chacala and Valentine's is here.
Many blessings on this day. May you have a wonderful day today and every day, happy in Heaven on Earth because you are choosing love over fear, acceptance over judgment, and celebrating the joy of the divine Life that animates you.
