Have you seen all the news about the Rapture coming Saturday and the world as we know it ending!? Read below for some thoughts about how we can use this time for ourselves.

The Joydancer Weekly Word
"The End of Our World of Judgment"
It's hard to know how many people have been exposed to the predictions of Harold Camping and his Family Radio, and many others, about the end of the world and Rapture coming Saturday, May 21. In case you've missed it,
here is a video of Mr. Camping talking about Day 4. Doonsebury did a comic strip about the event this week, so I know it is out there in the consciousness.
Harold Camping says he has decoded the Bible and this is an absolute fact. Some of his critics point out the possibilities that he's either a charlatan making lots of money, delusional, or a well-meaning elder who got too lost in his own belief systems. We'll know more on
Sunday, May 22.
My group of international Joydancers has been having fun
sharing about this phenomenon. We are
assuming the world isn't going to erupt in earthquakes this Saturday, throwing every rotting body from every grave onto the land, and 200,000,000 people, the Saved, aren't going to ascend to heaven in the Rapture, as Mr. Camping predicts. I don't imagine the entire universe is going to implode and vanish on October 21, either. However, it's good to know about these things ahead of time, so if it happens, we won't be surprised!!
So, we've asked ourselves, how we can use this story for our own evolution. The ideas have been dramatic and fun, some of them including roasting marshmellows (golden brown on all sides, no burned spots!). Here's some things from of our conversations I want to share with you and I invite you to join us this week in action for yourself.
An important part of the drama of the Rapture is the idea there is an external judging presence ("God") that will decide who deserves to be lifted up to heaven and who must be left behind in judgment and to suffering. Perhaps that story represents a reflection of the part of ourselves within that judges and condemns us to a living hell of daily fear...?
Let's use this time to count down to our own personal
rapture-- a time on Saturday when we leave behind the Hell of judgment and self-rejection we have lived in, big or small, and rise up to a higher, more loving dream of Heaven on Earth.
We suggest writing down the agreements and beliefs
the inner Judge has been using against us to create the fear of "less-than" and victim perceptions in our lives. If you would like to join us, listen and write down the voice of the Judge in your mind, the one that says: "You
should be more _______." And, "You
should have done ________ differently." Or, "You'll never be good enough or worthy of love until you
prove your worth by ______ ." If nothing comes at first, try writing judgments about your body, your diet, financial situation, relationships, or other hot topics.

On Saturday, the day of the earthquakes and spewing hot lava, use a candle or other fire, or the fire of true love burning in your heart, to burn these old lies, and tell yourself this truth:
"I am a perfect expression of the love of The Divine/ Life/ Source/ Consciousness/ God. There is nothing I have to prove or be in order to be worthy of love and acceptance, especially from myself. Every breath of air I take proves to me I am loved and supported in my being by this universe. I deny the lies of the inner and outer Judges, and declare myself free to be the beautiful, empowered, and loving human being I came here to be-- in Heaven on Earth! And so it is!"
After you have burned the old agreements and beliefs and declared yourself free, go outside, breathe deeply of the air that supports you, and take a giant step forward.... into your new dream of Heaven on Earth. Feel your beauty, see it reflected around you, and know the truth of who you are.
Wow, this just in from Jessica Varga at New Dream Video, one of our Joydancers-- a new fun video about one woman's joy (and disappointment) about the Rapture on Saturday.
As a side note, there is a great article in Mother Jones Magazine called "
The Science of Why We Don't Believe Science" -- about how our beliefs are emotionally based, and why it is so hard (impossible?) to change someone's mind about things:
"A MAN WITH A CONVICTION is a hard man to change. Tell him you disagree and he turns away. Show him facts or figures and he questions your sources. Appeal to logic and he fails to see your point."
Many blessings on us all this day and always. No matter what your beliefs, may you have a wonderful day breathing deeply of the air that supports you, eating with delight the abundance that nourishes you, and celebrating the joy of Life that animates you.
