Happy Fall Equinox! Yes, it's that time again, tomorrow, Wednesday, is the Equinox, 8:09 pm Pacific time, with a full moon a few hours later. Wow. We'll be high up on a bluff overlooking the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean, sky, stars, an ending day and a new season.
I hope you will stop in your world tomorrow, no matter what it is or where you are, and notice this shift. The time for darkness (in the northern hemisphere, of course) is beginning, a time many people use for going inside, sorting out personal priorities, being quiet, sitting by the fire-- and of course skiing, building snowpeople, and other winter outdoor fun.
Me, I'm heading to Teothihuacan and Tepoztlán with a wonderful group of people in two weeks, and we have a few openings left for the trip. Come with us! We will be "Dancing with the Divine." There is still time to tell the boss, book a flight, do the paperwork, and meet in the most amazing 2,000 year-old spiritual site your soul could ever dream.
When I get back from Teo I'll be moving to my home in the tropical beach village of Chacala, Nayarit, Mexico for the winter. I invite you to join me there for visits, workshops, and/or a personal intensive. Details soon.

First, Let's Get Back to Basics!
The Weekly Word
I give many talks and present workshops on many subjects, including The Four Agreements™ from the book of that name by my teacher, don Miguel Ruiz. I am surprised each time I hear someone tell me what they think one of the agreements means, and I discover they have missed some important element of the teaching.
Let's look at Agreement #2: Don't take anything personally.
So many people use this agreement to create an attitude instead of finding its deep meaning and power. I encourage you to understand the reason things ARE NOT personal-- therein lies the power of this new agreement you can make with yourself.
Everyone, including you, is dreaming. We are all perfectly and uniquely distorting the sensory data received by our eyes, ears, etc, into our own personal perception/dream inside our minds. Whatever anyone says to you, does to you, or fails to do for you....is a description and result of how they are dreaming you. It has nothing to do with you. That includes what your inner Judge says about you.
Here is my bottom line definition of taking things personally: When you are taking something or someone personally, it is because you are using it or them to evaluate your worth. To not take anything personally is possible when you know you are perfect and worthy from within-- you have nothing to prove and nothing to hide. You have no doubt about your Divine Perfection. That is personal freedom and that is the goal of my Joydancer Toltec Path of Transformation.
