| ABOUT THIS PARK |
Sherman Acres Minipark was designed to honor Sherman Field, a busy airport located on this site from 1941 - 1950.
The new park has a play structure representing a yellow Piper Cub airplane and an airport tower, along with a picnic table, several park benches, and shade trees, surrounded by a split-rail fence.
Thanks to the Sherman Acres Homeowners Association and historian Bill Larkins for documenting and protecting the history of the neighborhood.
