September, 2011

How was your summer?

We are looking forward to September 27th and the Art of Farming -Heirloom Vegetable Auction at Sotheby's.  If you will attend a food event this fall, this is the one you can't miss! It is a fundraising auction of unusual food and a feast fashioned by 25 of the city's top creative chefs - and curated by Chef Dan Kluger of ABC Kitchen. Dinner will be served family style featuring heirloom creations grown by over 20 Greenmarket farmers. Beneficiaries of the evening are The New Farmers Program of GrowNYC and The Sylvia Center.

September is a month of beginnings:  A new school year, the social season kicks off and Rosh Hashana ushers in the year 5772. It is also a month of remembrance.  Our hearts are joined with our neighbors as we absorb all the emotions of the new season.

Best,
