    The newest addition to WTC Delaware's resources is the FileShare system.  This online resource is available to WTC Delaware members and offers Country Profiles as well as industry information for specific countries. From the WTC Delaware website, enter your email address and password in the WTC Delaware FileShare Login section in the left column, and select the folder labeled "Seminar Presentations."  If you do not have your password, please contact us at 302-656-7905 or info@wtcde.com and we will send it to you.
     
    The FileShare system also provides members with a place to upload company information and brochures as well as access to WTC Delaware Member logos available for use by members.

    Twice each month a Delaware Trade Lead Bulletin, comprised of leads from companies in Delaware, is sent out via email not only to World Trade Centers all over the world, but to American Chambers of Commerce and other business organizations as well. The bulletin is also posted on our website in the Trade Leads section. A link to the March 18th bulletin is below.

    Bahrain WTCINTERNATIONAL NEWS
    The Bahrain World Trade Center (BWTC) has announced the official certification of the building's wind turbines by Bahrain's Electricity Distribution Directorate.  
     
    The three 29-metre diameter turbines are now set to auto-mode meaning they are supplying power to the office towers. 
    The BWTC's turbines are the first in the world to be integrated into a large scale commercial development, and are predicted to provide 11-15% of the power needed to operate the offices of the 50 story twin towers.

    WTC Delaware Member Duffield Associates Wins National Award
     
    February 2, 2009 - A Duffield Associates project was recently selected as one of the top 10 stormwater projects in the United States by nationally recognized Storm Water Solutions magazine. The TD Bank Redevelopment and Rain Garden project is located in Hockessin neighboring the Hockessin Fire Hall. This is an area susceptible to sinkhole formation, within a publicly regulated Water Resource Protection Area (WRPA), and near key public drinking water supply wells.
    Duffield Associates' water resource team worked with TD Bank's designer to develop a stormwater management program that utilizes diffuse recharge stormwater management practices to protect critical groundwater supplies while mitigating the potential for sinkhole development at the site. On-site stormwater management practices that were implemented include a large rain garden, and harvesting and storage of rooftop runoff in underground tanks for site irrigation. This approach significantly reduced the need to use drinking water for irrigation purposes.
    This project also won an Honors Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies - Delaware.

    In accordance with the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), every member of each of the World Trade Centers has a reciprocal membership with all licensed WTCs globally. The WTCA reinforces this policy by the issuance of a global WTCA membership card. This greatly helps the local membership marketing efforts of each WTC, and it vastly increases the amount of services that WTCs can offer their members. Upon joining or renewing membership annually to your local World Trade Center, members receive a WTCA Card enabling access to this reciprocity. Your WTCA Card and WTCA.org link all other WTCA members for support in providing services to their local members. No other organization in the world, which is devoted to international trade, can offer businesses a home base in more than 300 cities located in 92 countries. Currently there are 336 WTCs globally, including some licenses in the process of development/establishment.
