Immigration Update
 
On October 21, 2008 WTC Delaware hosted Ron Klasko, one of the country's leading immigration lawyers, and a founding member of Klasko, Rulon, Stock & Seltzer, LLP, for an Immigration Update seminar.
 
The seminar participants were a mix of the local business community and international students looking to make a transition into the business world. Mr. Klasko thoroughly addressed the business community's concerns about sponsoring visas for employees. For the students he focused on specific questions concerning options for those transitioning from student to work visa status.  Participants were thrilled by the information and advice that Mr. Klasko provided.  WTC Delaware looks forward to hosting Mr. Klasko again the future in an effort to keep the community updated on immigration law.
 
 
Methods of Payment
 
On October 22, 2008 WTC Delaware hosted Glen Dooley, Wachovia Bank's Northern Market's Director of Global Trade Services, for a seminar addressing International Methods of Payment.  Mr. Dooley gave an in-depth presentation comparing the various payment method options.  Glen Dooley offered insight on the advantages and/or risks involved in specific international payment transactions.  The attendees also learned the negotiation and payment process when issuing and/or receiving a letter of credit.  Attendees from this event were very satisfied with the information obtained from this seminar.  WTC Delaware will offer this program again in the Spring of 2009 as part of its International Business Certificate Series.
