"Open every stop on your Cabernet church organ: Pure cassis. Mountain freshness. Baking spice. The pencil lead of Graves in that less-than-overripe varietal character. This is unadulterated Cabernet pleasure, three words that have never come together in my mind before. Grown at an elevation of 1,800 feet, 14 miles from the coast, this vineyard traces its heritage back to Chateau Margaux, where Emmet Rixford selected cuttings for La Questa in the 1890s. Martin Ray propagated cuttings from these vines to plant Mount Eden in the 1940s, replanted in the 1980s with a selection from Ray's vines. Between the cool site, the exceptional vintage and the pedigree of the vines, this is atrue California classic."

2009 Ridge Estate Chardonnay
95 Points Robert Parker
Sale Price 39.99 Regular Price 44.99
"The 2009 Chardonnay Estate is an impeccable, classy wine layered with bright citrus, flowers and just a touch of sweetness from the oak. Crushed rocks and lime peel add complexity on the textured, long finish. In 2009 none of the blocks were designated for the Monte Bello bottling, all of the fruit went into the Estate. This is a stunningly pure wine from Ridge. I came back to the 2009 Estate after having tasted all of the reds and the wine showed beautifully. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2019. "
Kistler Les Noisetiers Chardonnay 2009
Very Limited, you must call to confirm
Cost 64.99
Complex aromas of citrus and flakey pastry. Elegant and impressive with layers of honeysuckle macadamia nuts and beautifully integrated French oak. The memorable finish is precise and intense with uncommon balance that inspires now but portends for an even finer experience in 2 - 3 years, peaking around 2015 in our estimate.
2008 Gorman "The Pixie" Red Mountain Syrah
93 points Wine Spectator
Sale Price 39.99 Regular Price 44.99
Rich and vibrant, this is polished in texture so the red cherry, black cherry, licorice and black olive flavors sail smoothly through the long, expressive finish. This has elegance to go with its power, and the finish doesn't quit.
2010 Patricia Green Ana Vineyard
Sale Price $39.99 Regular Price $44.99
There simply is no replacing well-farmed, older vines in terms of the quality of the wine you are able to make from the fruit. The nuances, texture and complexity that these older vines provide are not qualities that a winemaker can imitate via technique. You either have older vines or you don't. With Ana Vineyard these qualities make for an incredible array of aromatics including rose petal, freshly cooked rare lamb and earth-toned red spices. The texture of this bottling is always graceful. At once it is mouth-filling but never a "big" wine however it never lacks for density and Ana does particularly well in cooler vintages. In 2010 where most things moved toward red fruit and spice our bottling of Ana Vineyard has some guts to go along with its inherently refined and silky characteristics. There is no mistaking the wealth of intensity in this wine but it is red-fruited to the core and lithe and nimble at the same time. This is going to be a classic bottling of Ana Vineyard. 220 cases bottled.

Its drinking window will extend from 2013 to 2027.
