Fall Recipe Treats

With the arrival of fall, it's finally time to say goodbye to the heat of summer and welcome cooler temperatures and the lush colorful bounty of autumn.  It makes you want to stay inside, get cozy and try some new recipes.

Our suggested theme for the month of October is "Autumn Glory".  The following menu would be delightful to serve anytime thru the fall.

  • Cinnamon Chip Scones*
  • Apple cheddar Soup*
  • Swiss Apple Melts*
  • Cheesy Apricot Layered Sandwiches*
  • Deviled Eggs
  • Zucchini Quiche (see recipe below)
  • Civil-La-Tea's Favorite Pumpkin Bars*

The rich colors of fall are fantastic to work with when making a centerpiece.  Using hollowed out pumpkins as flower holders are great.  Simply hollow out the pumpkin and place a container for the flowers inside.  Fall colored candles and leaves can complete your design.  Sprinkle candy corn around your sweets on your tea tray for the "kid" in all of us.
