WGC Response Network - $1,000!
|
Our army of women donors and friends jumped to action this month and raised $1,000 in one hour to help a young mother in need. Thank you!
|
|
Dear WGC Donors and Friends,
The Women's Giving Circle is thriving ... but it is working in an environment that has made what we do more important and necessary than at any time in its history.
The economy still struggles, but we continue to shore up women who need us. Emergency grants have gone to:
- Bridges to Housing Stability
- Community Action Council
- Domestic Violence Center
- Family and Children's Services
- Grassroots
- and FIRN
We help these organizations intervene when a financial crisis threatens one of the women they serve. In addition, the WGC's Response Network helps individual women get immediate financial support from our donors - just last week we raised $1,000 in less than an hour to help a young mother.
We can continue to do this work with your support and pledges to support our many programs to benefit women and girls. And, we continue to host programs, events and opportunities to engage women of all ages in our efforts.
Won't you join us?
Caroline Sherman, Chair
