| Dear WGC Donors and Friends,
We've had a busy few months, and a few more coming up!
The 2012 STEM Careers Expo for Girls on March 12 was wonderful! How exciting to see so many young women looking into STEM careers in the future. Our March 15 showing of the important movie "Cover Girl Culture" was well attended. Our 2012 Annual Meeting & Celebration on March 19 was a wonderful afternoon celebrating our success the last ten years. And, our Women in Wine Tasting event featuring women winemakers was a fun and interesting way to cap off a month of WGC activities - thanks to all of you who joined us.
You'll see we've got a number of terrific events coming up - please register today and join us for a Special Evening with Deborah Owens on May 3 and our Mother's Day Tea on May 6. And, we are looking forward to the Her Mind Magazine "Power of the Purse" launch event on June 5, which benefits the WGC.
Our 2012 Circle Team is gearing up for Iron Girl Columbia 1/2 Marathon and 5K on April 29, and the Iron Girl Columbia Triathlon on August 19, and we still have a few community spots left. The team is not only training strong, but fundraising strong - go team!
Finally, we are currently accepting applications for our 2012/2013 Young Women's Giving Circle - please help spread the word to young women leaders. What a great few months our current circle has had - several fundraisers and a huge showing at our Annual Meeting.
As we celebrate National Volunteer Week and National Equal Pay Day this week, we can't thank all of your - our donors and volunteer leadership for your time, energy, vision and commitment!
Sincerely,
Caroline Sherman, Chair
