November 2011
Dear WGC Donors and Friends,

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we have much to be thankful for. I am most grateful to our Advisory Board and WGC leaders past and present, as well as all of you - our friends and donors - who choose to pool our energy and resources to make a difference for women and girls.

We just sent our 2011 Annual Appeal - our ask to you to invest in our work.  I thank you in advance for your continued support of the WGC so that we can jointly address the issues we care about.

Also, Save the Date! Our 2012 Annual Meeting will take place on March 19, 2012 - we look forward to celebrating 10 years with you.

There's a lot going on, and many ways to get involved. Join us.

Sincerely,
CTaliano Signature

Founder Memorialized With Scholarship

The First Thursday Book Club of Howard County has come up with a uniquely appropriate way to memorialize the club's beloved founder, Mary Margaret Kamerman, who died in 2008 after a stroke.  On Mary Margaret's birthday each year, the 7 remaining members each contribute a dollar to the Women's Giving Circle of Howard County for every year since Mary Margaret's birth - Columbia Patch, November 19, 2011 Read the full story.

Join The 2012 WGC Circle Team

WGC Circle Team 2012 Kick OffWe had a jam-packed room at Coreworks Fitness & Pilates this month for the kick-off of our 2012 Circle Team. Team Co-Chairs Ilana Bittner and Sara Raymond reviewed how 75 women trained, socialized and raised $40k last year for the WGC and how the Circle Team expects to increase these efforts in 2012. Returning team members shared the fun, excitement and empowerment that comes from being a part of our team. Didn't make it? There's still plenty of time to join us! Register here

WGC Response Network - $1,000!

WGC donors and friends jumped to action this month and raised $1,000 in less than 3 hours to help a woman in need. So far this year we've raised several thousand dollars to help 7 women and their families. Thank you!
