Grassroots is seeking immediate assistance of $1,000 to save a single mother and her sons from eviction.

 This woman is a 37 year old single mother with 14 and 2 year old sons. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse who has just graduated with her RN degree. Her income should increase greatly in the near future due to this degree. While in school, she had fallen behind in her rent, and although the landlord has worked with her, she owed over $10,000 and was facing eviction. She has paid $2,000. The landlord has agreed to forgive over $4150 (as well as a modified rent schedule) if she can pay $4150. She is borrowing $1500 from a friend, and Grassroots is trying to raise the remaining $2650 from several sources to help this hardworking single mother take advantage of her landlord's kind and generous offer and stay in her home.
