Bridges To Housing Stability is seeking immediate assistance of $1,000 for a Jamaican immigrant who is in danger of losing her housing. 

 This woman moved to the United States to flee from her abusive husband. She recently received certification as a Medication Technician and is employed as a nurse's aide for the elderly. She is also preparing to begin educational training to become a LPN. However, she and her  3 year old daughter are in danger of losing their housing subsidy and housing because she is not a US citizen. A status of permanent residency would give her housing stability, but she needs assistance with the filing fees. She has saved some of the money but the staff of Bridges is looking for $1000 to assist her in filing for permanent residency so she and her daughter can maintain their housing.
