Journey Reunion and Journey 2011 Applications

Journey Reunion 2011 pic2On January 9, 2011, 50 young women reconnected at the Journey Camp Reunion event hosted by the Women's Giving Circle.  Journey, started in 2006 by WGC, was created to foster a sense of identity, self-awareness and empowerment in young women. The reunion was sparked by the 5-year anniversary of Journey, which was originally launched with a "founders group" of 25 girls living in Howard County.  Since then, another 155 local girls have attended the week long, residential camp founded and supported by WGC and operated by Maryland Leadership Workshops.  Check out this press coverage!

Journey 2011 is accepting applications now!  Journey 2011 will operate from June 26 - July 2, 2011 at Washington College and will serve 25 Howard County girls entering 8th - 9th grades in the fall of 2011.  Applications for Journey may be obtained from the WGC's website . Financial assistance is available.  The deadline for applications is March 31, 2011.
