The Healthy Families Program is seeking immediate help for a family of women. The mother is 15, her child is 16 months, and they live with the grandmother. The grandmother is a breast cancer survivor, which is why she lost her job originally. They are presently homeless. Her daughter became pregnant at 14 and the father of the baby disappeared. She does have a car but unfortunately the alternator went up. They need transportation, since the cold weather shelter moves every week and they do not provide space during the day-they will have to leave with the baby from morning until 5:30 at night. It is a vicious cycle for them. They need a break!

Healthy Families is requesting $150 to buy an alternator to fix the car so they have transportation.
