An anonymous donor challenges WGC donors...
During the WGC's Annual Appeal, an anonymous donor challenged WGC donors to raise $1,000 in 24 hours with the promise of a $1,000 matching donation.  Not only was the goal met, but it was surpassed in only two hours!  What a great example of the power of women's giving!
We invite you to join this movement and invest your charitable dollars in the Women's Giving Circle today!

The Response Network
It has been a busy season for the WGC Response Network.  WGC donors opened their hearts and wallets and very generously responded to the emergency requests of two Howard County non-profits.

In November, Healthy Families, a program of Family and Children's Services, received over $500 to assist a single mother with a car repair.  This support allowed her to continue to attend nursing school, uninterrupted by transportation issues.

In December, donors provided $900 to Grassroots to prevent foreclosure on the home of an 82 year old single woman in Howard County.  She was able to retain her independence and vitality with the help of our donors.

Just this month, $1000 helped a hardworking FIRN client from the Congo retain her electricity.  Thank you for your continued generosity!

thanksgivingThe WGC sponsored a Thanksgiving Dinner with Healthy Families of Howard County.  WGC donors, advisory board members, volunteers and their families joined Healthy Families for a Thanksgiving Celebration at Slayton House.  A special thanks to all of our volunteers.

All WGC donors are leveraging their dollars for change, and having a profound effect on the growth of women's giving in Howard County.  We have established a variety of giving levels with the overall goal of being as inclusive as possible.
