Family and Children's Services, Healthy Families is seeking assistance of $565 for a 29 year old mother from the Ivory Coast. She has lived in the United States for 7 years. When she entered the Healthy Families program, she was in an unstable relationship with the father of her child. After surviving and overcoming what turned into an abusive relationship, she has, with the help of the community, been able to find her own job, apartment and car. She is also determined to attend nursing school to better her own life and her child's life. Unfortunately, her car has broken down, and she needs to get her car fixed so that she can attend nursing school in Baltimore.

 

She needs $565 to repair her car so she has transportation to school.
