Grassroots is seeking assistance of $1,000 for a 31 year old widowed mother with a 10 year old son. She has Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis. She has a degree in electrical engineering but due to her illness and issues with her son, she has missed a lot of work. She is now on medication and working regularly, despite the obvious pain she is in. She is 2 months behind on her rent and is facing eviction in mid-October if she cannot pay this money. Grassroots believes that with our help and the assistance of other community supports, she will be able to continue to care for her son and support herself.

 

She needs $1,000 to pay her back due rent and avoid eviction.
