A Woman Needs Our Help! - $400
Grassroots is seeking assistance of $400 for a 26 year-old mother of 8 year-old twin
daughters who both are diagnosed with multiple emotional disabilities. She also is
responsible for her 16 year-old brother, who lives with her. Recently she had unusual expenses after a car
accident and fell behind in her rent. Her children have finally been accepted
for a complete evaluation at Kennedy Kreiger and there were also costs involved
in the assessment. This woman is quite overwhelmed and needs some
relief.
Her daughters are enrolled in a day care/summer camp program
that will cost $200/week. In addition there is a $400 activities fee that is due
shortly. Grassroots is requesting help from the WGC to pay the $400 activity
fee. Meanwhile, a counselor will work with
her to see what other resources in the county might provide her with some
assistance.
