Dear WGC Donors & Friends,
Journey Girls
We hope you have had a chance to keep abreast of WGC efforts on the WGC Website - check out our updated Grants section.

We hope you received the letter from us letting you know of the important work your dollars are doing - and inviting you to continue to invest in women and girls in the county.

Check out the WGC's online Calendar - we've got a number of events coming up, including a panel presentation entitled "Women & Philanthropy: A Plan of One's Own" in partnership with the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers - join us!

Also, check our our sponsorship opportunities. Thank you to all our current and past sponsors - without you, we would not be able to offer our many programs and events each year ... your support, energy and enthusiasm is greatly appreciated!

Finally, Save the Date for the WGC's 2009 Annual Meeting & Social, March 18, 4:30-6:30 p.m.
Did You Know?  Two Statistics ....
A recent survey by the University of Kentucky highlighted that 90% of teenage girls report that they have been sexually harassed.

And, a recent U.S. News & World Report article highlighted that for the first time ever, women gave more than men - in 2006. Women gave 21.7 billion -vs- men giving 16.8 billion.

These two statistics underscore why we volunteer our time and financial resources to the WGC, and how we are all empowered to address issues we care about through philanthropy.

Thank you for your continued investment in the WGC.
