Also, learn about several terrific programs we just held, including our STEM Career Expo which attracted  375 participants, and "The Supergirl Dilemna: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," which had 40 in attendance.

Dear WGC Donors & Friends, 

It's that time of year ... the WGC's Journey Camp is accepting applications
 
The WGC has expanded its residential summer camp, Journey, to include two groups of Howard County students: 25 girls entering eighth and ninth grade in the fall of 2008 and 25 girls entering tenth, eleventh and twelfth grade in the fall of 2008. Maryland Leadership Workshops, Inc. (MLW) will operate Journey, as it has for the past two years.
 
Applications are due March 14, 2008. 
 
Please pass this information along to anyone who may be interested in attending.  Learn more and download the application.

The STEM expo, believed to be the first of its kind in Howard County, was organized by Diana Bailey of the Women's Giving Circle, who is a work-force development coordinator for the State Department of Education - The Baltimore Sun, February 13, 2008
