A sixty-eight year old woman who lives alone in the

 

Her physician has strongly recommended that she replace the used one she received awhile ago, with a much firmer one.  He looked into her insurance paying for a new mattress, but they won't.  She has arthritis and is seeing a rheumatologist because she has pain everywhere.  Her GI problems prevent her from being able to take very strong pain medicine and she wakes up multiple times during the night and has difficulty sleeping due to the pain.  Her physician says that her condition is or could be due to a domestic violence  situation she endured many years ago before she fled with her children.
