Dear WGC Donors & Friends, 
 

It's the holiday season and giving is a central theme of whatever holiday you celebrate. 
 

The WGC Advisory Board wants to thank you - our donors - for giving of your time, your talent, and your resources to assist women and girls in our county.

 
This holiday season and throughout the year in our community, many mothers and children live on the brink of destitution, and some have no place to call home.
 

In our community ...

  • Girls are exposed everyday to the messages of mass culture that erode their self-image and value systems.  The WGC created a camp for middle school girls to take them on a journey of self-discovery and to examine what it is to be a woman in today's world.
  • There are women who dream of becoming economically self-sufficient but have no means to improve their situation.  The WGC provides scholarships for women students who are taking courses at Howard Community College in order to improve their career possibilities.
  • There are challenges ahead that we have yet to face.  The WGC is building an endowment that ensures that the issues facing women and girls in Howard County will be addressed in perpetuity.

In our community, women philanthropists are making a difference and you can too!

 

The WGC funds emergency grants to local nonprofits and operates The Response Network for the most immediate of needs. 
 

And, the Women's Giving Circle is in need of your continued support today.
