 Legislative Call to Action
We Need YOU Now!

Greetings! ,

The legislative committee of FAR is mobilizing to start visiting House and Senate members in July. Chapter leaders in each part of the state have assigned legislators that are the key players for passage of alimony reform legislation. We desperately need your help in visiting with these legislators.

If you live in these respective parts of the state, we need you to contact the Chapter leaders listed below and let them know that you are ready to visit your legislators with them.  We are putting together a legislative packet to deliver. We need you to tell your story to your legislators.  We cannot emphasize enough how important it is to educate our legislators on the crisis we are experiencing due to Florida's dysfunctional alimony legislation.  We also need women alimony payers or second wives (spouses, partners, husbands) to visit their legislators so that the legislators can see the negative impact our current legislation has on the family.

The Chapters and Leaders for each part of the state are as follows:

Broward Chapter               Judy Michau                        jmichau@bellsouth.net

Tampa Chapter                   George Levy                       glevy5775@gmail.com

Orlando Chapter                Jose Fajardo                        zepy12@gmail.com

Palm Chapter                      Rose Carbone                    rmcarbone@aol.com

Northwest Chapter   John Fromularo   john.d.fromularo@wellsfargoadvisors.com

Northeast Chapter             Patrick Krug             patrick_krug@hotmail.com

Southwest Chapter            Steve Meckstroth   SWFL.FAR@gmail.com

Dade Chapter                      Guido Albarran       taz3494@yahoo.com

East-Central Chapter         Brad Blais                 bblais@qlha.com

The East-Central Chapter covers Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, Volusia and Okeechobee counties. The remainder of the chapters are self explanatory but if you volunteer to a wrong chapter, the chapter leader will steer you to the correct chapter since they have the list of specific counties that fall under each chapter.

We are also still looking for a chapter leader in Dade. Guido Albarran has volunteered to do this but he is not a constituent of Dade. There is more clout in setting up meetings with legislators if you live in their district. Their time is limited so they are not likely to accept visits from solicitors unless they are a constituent and can actually vote for them! If you live in Dade and are serious about reform, we NEED you to step up NOW.

Are there any volunteers for Chapter Leader? NOW is the time for action.

From 1 to 10, what is YOUR level of Engagement with alimony reform? If you're a one, progress will be slow.  The more engaged you are, the quicker we have reform.

Volunteer to Visit your Respective FL Legislators!

If We Let Up, We Lose!

Chuck
