Dear NCCCR members, I hope that all of you who registered for College for Seniors courses for Spring 2012 have received your schedules. Please remember that you may add as many courses as you can schedule during the Add/Drop period that begins tomorrow, Monday, March 12, at 8 am. You may either come to the Reuter Center in person or give us a call. Please understand that we cannot respond to voice mail we receive before 8 am, since we will be less efficient if we are trying to return a long list of phone messages. Remember that the last day to drop all courses for a full refund for course fees is Friday, March 23 at 4 pm. We also hope you remembered to "spring forward" and set your clocks for Daylight Savings Time.
We look forward to seeing you at the beginning of Spring College for Seniors courses on Monday, March 26. Thanks for making NCCCR part of your plan for a creative retirement. Catherine Frank Executive Director |

STEM Lecture
Responding to Climate Change: An Interdisciplinary Challenge Lenny Bernstein, PhD Thursday, March 22, 2012, 4:30 pm at the Reuter Center The evidence is overwhelming that human emissions of greenhouse gases, primarily as the result of fossil fuel use and land use change, can, and already have, changed the global climate system. A comprehensive response to human-induced climate change has to follow two parallel paths: mitigation, i.e., reducing carbon dioxide emissions, and adaptation, protecting, to the extent possible, against the impacts of climate change. |

 Add/Drop Begins Tomorrow!
Spring 2012 College for Seniors class schedules were sent out on Friday, March 9th. You may either call or stop by the Reuter Center to make changes to your schedule after 8 am tomorrow. DO NOT call before 8 am Monday. We want to work with the people who come to the Center, and we will be less efficient if we are trying to return a long list of phone calls.
During Add/Drop, you may add as many course as you can schedule at no additional cost (other than $20 fees as required for some of our wellness and recreation courses.)
If you have received the number of courses you requested (up to three), you will not be added to a wait list for your alternate courses and must add yourself to the waitlist during the add/drop process. We do not post lists of open or closed classes online because during the add/drop period these lists change so frequently. We will contact you when you move from the waitlist to enrollment if you are on a waitlist. The last time to drop courses for a full refund is 4 pm, March 23, 2012. |
