Chisholm Trail Parkway is a 27.6-mile toll road that will extend from Tarrant County to Johnson County, starting from Fort Worth's central business district at Interstate 30 and continuing to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. The NTTA began initial construction in April 2010 on Section 2C, one of the northernmost sections of the project, located in Fort Worth near Union Pacific Railroad's Davidson Yard. In March 2010, the Texas Department of Transportation began construction of Section 3A, a $117 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act project. Section 3A consists of local access improvements to Interstate 20/State Highway 183 (Southwest Boulevard) at CTP. Construction of the remaining project sections is underway. The entire CTP project is anticipated to open to traffic in spring 2014.

NTTA Speakers Bureau reaches community groups

Spk BureauNTTA officials and topical experts help hundreds of homeowners, civic club members and community leaders navigate the complicated landscape of North Texas transportation through its Speakers Bureau. Take advantage of this free service and request a speaker for your group.

Groups can schedule exclusive time with NTTA speakers to help their members learn more about the Authority and its roadways. Topics for presentations include roadway construction updates, roadway safety, environmental efforts, innovative financing and the history of the NTTA. Topics also may be customized to the interests of the organization making the request.

The NTTA Speakers Bureau began in 2008 as part of the Authority's commitment to community involvement. Don't miss out on the opportunity for your group this year.

Requests for a speaker should be made at least 30 days in advance. For more information or to request a speaker for your event, email speakers@ntta.org or call (214) 224-3088.
