Upcoming closures and activity
Periodic closures of Hulen Street between Ranch View Road and Overton Terrace Court extended through Aug. 7
The right lane of northbound Hulen Street between Ranch View Road and Overton Terrace will be periodically closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Aug. 7.
Work along Rutledge Road expected to begin on Aug. 13
Crews will begin work along Rutledge Road on Aug. 13. A cul-de-sac will be constructed just west of the future Montgomery Street extension, making Rutledge road a "dead-end" street. Construction will restrict traffic along Rutledge Road to local businesses and deliveries only; through traffic will be detoured to Vickery Boulevard.
Closures along University Drive
Beginning Aug. 13, crews will close the left lane of north- and southbound University Drive between I-30 and the Union Pacific Railroad. During the closure, crews will reconstruct the center median. Work is expected to be complete and the lanes reopened to traffic by Aug. 28.
Lanes narrowed along Vickery Boulevard
Motorists traveling eastbound on Vickery Boulevard should expect narrow lanes between Smiley Street and Pulido Street.
Permanent closure of westbound I-30 frontage road between 11th Avenue and 15th Avenue
As work continues on I-30 and the CTP, crews will permanently close the westbound I-30 frontage road between 11th Avenue and 15th Avenue at 9 a.m. Aug. 15.
The frontage road east of 11th Avenue and the entrance ramp to I-30 westbound will remain open. Traffic will be detoured to Forest Park Boulevard via 11th Avenue to West Broadway Street to 15th Avenue and then to Peter Smith Street.
The closure is necessary as crews begin work on the new frontage road over the Fort Worth and Western Railroad.
In addition to this closure, the intersections of Peter Smith Street and 14th Avenue and Wenneca Avenue at 11th Avenue will be closed from Aug. 15 through Nov. 15 for construction.
