Chisholm Trail Parkway is a 27.6-mile toll road that will extend from Tarrant County to Johnson County, starting from Fort Worth's central business district at Interstate 30 and continuing to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. The NTTA began initial construction in April 2010 on Section 2C, one of the northernmost sections of the project, located in Fort Worth near Union Pacific Railroad's Davidson Yard. In March 2010, the Texas Department of Transportation began construction of Section 3A, a $117 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act project. Section 3A consists of local access improvements to Interstate 20/State Highway 183 (Southwest Boulevard) at CTP. Construction of the remaining project sections is underway. The entire CTP project is anticipated to open to traffic in spring 2014.

Chisholm Trail Parkway crews honor Independence Day

by flying "Old Glory" on westbound I-20 at Bryant Irvin Road in Fort Worth.

Drainage

Drainage structures allow for proper run off from rain. The location for these structures was developed during the design process by considering the natural water runoff flow lines. This culvert north of County Road 920 in Joshua will be covered with nearly 30 feet of fill material.

Ongoing Construction

Road Work Ahead SignWork near Trinity River in Fort Worth expected to begin this week

Construction crews working near the Trinity River in Fort Worth are expected to begin excavation work on the south side of the river (near the Edwards Ranch development) as early as July 12. Construction will not require the closure of the Trinity Trails and they will remain open during normal operating hours (5 a.m. - 10 p.m.). However, the trails may be blocked at night so that crews can continue construction on the proposed CTP bridges. A detour will be constructed around the work area, and detour signs placed to accommodate trail users. Fencing will placed to mark the work area.

Closure near Vickery Boulevard and Rogers Road extended

Crews working on the CTP bridge near Vickery Boulevard just west of University Drive in Fort Worth will extend the closure of the eastbound, right-hand lane of Vickery Boulevard further west to Pulido Street beginning July 10, as a safety precaution for motorists and workers in the area. Rogers Road will remain open in both directions.

Demolition of Rosedale-Lovell Bridge in Fort Worth slated for early August

As work continues on the CTP bridge structures near Interstate 30, the westbound Rosedale Street bridge to Lovell Street is anticipated to close in the early part of August. Parts of the bridge will be demolished and rebuilt to accommodate the CTP. Once the schedule is finalized, additional information on detour routes will be provided.

Periodic lane closures along State Highway 183 at Bryant Irvin Road

Crews will periodically close SH 183 at Bryant Irvin Road on July 12 from 5 a.m. until 7 a.m. The closure is necessary as contractors remove overhead utility lines.

For more information about upcoming lane closures and traffic-related news along NTTA roadways and the Chisholm Trail Parkway construction area, go to the "Scheduled Lane Closures" listing at www.ntta.org or call (817) 207-0184.

NTTA plans "Top Violators" page on NTTA.org

Outreach effort aimed at reaching customers who owe tolls

Top Violators

The NTTA will publish a webpage in mid-July containing the names of individuals who owe 100 or more outstanding tolls. The list is designed to provide the public with a way to easily determine if they owe a significant debt to the NTTA and put them on notice that they may be subject to collections lawsuits and other enforcement action by the NTTA.

The "Top Violators" webpage is part of a coordinated effort by the NTTA to ensure that all users of NTTA roadways pay for that usage. The NTTA is funded by user fees-tolls-and not taxes. Those on the "Top Violators" list have more than 100 outstanding tolls and have refused to pay invoices over at least 180 days.

Learn more and read the frequently asked questions at www.ntta.org/custinfo/BIlling-and-Payment/Pages/Top_Toll_Violators.aspx.
