Chisholm Trail Parkway is a 27.6-mile toll road that will extend from Tarrant County to Johnson County, starting from Fort Worth's central business district at Interstate 30 and continuing to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. The NTTA began initial construction in April 2010 on Section 2C, one of the northernmost sections of the project, located in Fort Worth near Union Pacific Railroad's Davidson Yard. In March 2010, the Texas Department of Transportation began construction of Section 3A, a $117 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act project. Section 3A consists of local access improvements to Interstate 20/State Highway 183 (Southwest Boulevard) at CTP. Construction of the remaining project sections is underway. The entire CTP project is anticipated to open to traffic in spring 2014.

| "A Tale of Two Trails" in Fort Worth
More than 49 bikers, hikers and walkers made their way to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden Center for a community meeting specifically for Trinity Trail users. With the Chisholm Trail Parkway project and the Trinity Trails intersecting at three locations--near Old University Drive, the Hulen Street bridge and Edwards Ranch Road--it was important to make this group aware of upcoming construction activities in the area. During the meeting, Streams and Valleys, Inc. Executive Director Adelaide Leavens gave an overview of the planned trail enhancements. Representatives from the NTTA, City of Fort Worth and the Texas Department of Transportation also were on hand to provide updates on the CTP, related city projects and upcoming TxDOT work.
In addition to updates on the various transportation and trail projects, City of Fort Worth neighborhood police officer Phil Woodward encouraged those in attendance to store valuables out of sight prior to using the trails. Officer Woodward also mentioned an initiative to reduce crime in the area. He works with an Explorer Post to issue Burglary Report Cards. These report cards assess the burglary threat level of vehicles. If you are using the trails, make sure you receive a passing grade by storing your laptops, cell phones and iPods out of sight.

| Community meetings held in Johnson County throughout June
Four meetings held in Johnson County introduced the staff of NTTA and Granite Construction to the public in Section 6 of the CTP. Approximately 150 people attended the four meetings held in Godley (June 11), Cleburne (June 12), Joshua (June 14) and Burleson (June 28) which served as an opportunity for the public to speak directly with staff, review large maps and ask questions about the project.
The NTTA and Granite Construction want to maintain communications with the public on an ongoing basis, not just at community meetings. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the southernmost 13 miles of the CTP, please do not hesitate to contact the Johnson County CTP hotline at (817) 202-9384 or email chisholmtrail@ntta.org. |

Construction update
Rogers Road in Fort Worth back to normal
As scheduled, crews re-opened the southbound lane of Rogers Road late last week, re-establishing two-way traffic. This re-opening provides a relief route for individuals wanting to proceed south on University Drive from Vickery Boulevard.
City of Fort Worth crews begin work on Forest Park
City of Fort Worth crews are expected to begin work on a storm drain along southbound Forest Park Boulevard this week. Construction is expected to last through Aug. 22. Once work on the southbound side is completed, crews will focus on the northbound side. The City has provided a shift in the lanes to minimize the traffic impacts.
Nightly closures of east- and westbound I-30 from Summit Avenue to west of University Drive
As work for the CTP continues along I-30, crews will close alternate east- and westbound lanes between Summit Avenue and University Drive from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the morning of July 30. The closure is necessary so that crews can place temporary lighting and concrete traffic barriers. Commuters are reminded that the speed limit in this area has been reduced to 55 mph.
For more information about upcoming lane closures and traffic-related news along NTTA roadways in Fort Worth, go to the "Scheduled Lane Closures" listing at www.ntta.org or call (817) 207-0184. |

NTTA plans "Top Violators" page on NTTA.org
Outreach effort aimed at reaching customers who owe tolls

The NTTA will publish a webpage in mid-July containing the names of individuals who owe 100 or more outstanding tolls. The list is designed to provide the public with a way to easily determine if they owe a significant debt to the NTTA and put them on notice that they may be subject to collections lawsuits and other enforcement action by the NTTA.
The "Top Violators" webpage is part of a coordinated effort by the NTTA to ensure that all users of NTTA roadways pay for that usage. The NTTA is funded by user fees-tolls-and not taxes. Those on the "Top Violators" list have more than 100 outstanding tolls and have refused to pay invoices over at least 180 days.
