Chisholm Trail Parkway is a 27.6-mile toll road that will extend from Tarrant County to Johnson County, starting from Fort Worth's central business district at Interstate 30 and continuing to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. The NTTA began initial construction in April 2010 on Section 2C, one of the northernmost sections of the project, located in Fort Worth near Union Pacific Railroad's Davidson Yard. In March 2010, the Texas Department of Transportation began construction of Section 3A, a $117 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act project. Section 3A consists of local access improvements to Interstate 20/State Highway 183 (Southwest Boulevard) at CTP. Construction of the remaining project sections is underway. The entire CTP project is anticipated to open to traffic in spring 2014.

Construction update

Road Work Ahead SignWork on the CTP bridges will take center stage this summer as crews continue to set columns and beams for the structures making up the parkway near Oakmont Boulevard, Dutch Branch Road and Sycamore School Road in south Fort Worth. In this area, the CTP will flow under Oakmont Boulevard, over Dutch Branch Road and under Altamesa Road.

In addition to construction activities in south Fort Worth, crews continue their work over the Union Pacific Railroad's Davidson Yard. Last week, large beams were delivered for the CTP main lanes over the busy rail yard. Commuters traveling on Hulen Street also will notice the newly placed asphalt approach for the bridge.

Finally, crews working along Interstate 30 between Summit Avenue and the Trinity River continue to place drill shafts and will soon begin pouring bridge columns for the CTP main lanes.

NTTA plans "Top Violators" page on NTTA.org

Outreach effort aimed at reaching customers who owe tolls

Top Violators

The NTTA will publish a webpage in mid-July containing the names of individuals who owe 100 or more outstanding tolls. The list is designed to provide the public with a way to easily determine if they owe a significant debt to the NTTA and put them on notice that they may be subject to collections lawsuits and other enforcement action by the NTTA.

The "Top Violators" webpage is part of a coordinated effort by the NTTA to ensure that all users of NTTA roadways pay for that usage. The NTTA is funded by user fees-tolls-and not taxes. Those on the "Top Violators" list have more than 100 outstanding tolls and have refused to pay invoices over at least 180 days.

Learn more and read the frequently asked questions at www.ntta.org/custinfo/BIlling-and-Payment/Pages/Top_Toll_Violators.aspx.
