Chisholm Trail Parkway is a 27.6-mile toll road that will extend from Tarrant County to Johnson County, starting from Fort Worth's central business district at Interstate 30 and continuing to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. The NTTA began initial construction in April 2010 on Section 2C, one of the northernmost sections of the project, located in Fort Worth near Union Pacific Railroad's Davidson Yard. In March 2010, the Texas Department of Transportation began construction of Section 3A, a $117 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act project. Section 3A consists of local access improvements to Interstate 20/State Highway 183 (Southwest Boulevard) at CTP. Construction of the remaining project sections is underway. The entire CTP project is anticipated to open to traffic in mid-2014.

Traffic relief ahead at University Drive and Vickery Boulevard
The NTTA and the City of Fort Worth hope to relieve traffic tie-ups near University Drive/Vickery Boulevard by adjusting the signal light timing at the busy intersection. Crews recently closed the westbound right lane of Vickery Boulevard and the southbound lane of Rogers Road just south of Vickery Boulevard which has increased traffic congestion in the area. Heavy equipment traffic across the Trinity Trails expected through April
Users of the Trinity Trails will see heavy equipment crossing the trails near Hulen Street through the end of April. The trails will remain open during normal operating hours, and flagmen will be on hand to direct trail users. |

Vickery Boulevard to close periodically through April 28
The delivery and installation of bridge beams will necessitate periodic closures along Vickery Boulevard. Crews wills close Vickery Boulevard between Hulen Street and Micki Lynn Avenue nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Saturday, April 28. Traffic will be detoured as follows:
* Eastbound traffic will be detoured north onto Micki Lynn Avenue, west to Kilpatrick Avenue, north to Eldridge Street, east to Donnelly Avenue, south to Hulen Street and east to Vickery Boulevard.
* Westbound traffic will be detoured north to Hulen Street, west to Donnelly Avenue, south to Eldridge Street, east to Kilpatrick Avenue, south to Micki Lynn Avenue and west to Vickery Boulevard. |

Commuters traveling northbound on Hulen Street should expect periodic closures of the right northbound lane of Hulen Street between Overton Terrace Court and Ranch View Road through early August. |
