Chisholm Trail Parkway is a 27.6-mile toll road that will extend from Tarrant County to Johnson County, starting from Fort Worth's central business district at Interstate 30 and continuing to U.S. 67 in Cleburne. The NTTA began initial construction in April 2010 on Section 2C, one of the northernmost sections of the project, located in Fort Worth near Union Pacific Railroad's Davidson Yard. In March 2010, the Texas Department of Transportation began construction of Section 3A, a $117 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act project. Section 3A consists of local access improvements to Interstate 20/State Highway 183 (Southwest Boulevard) at CTP. Construction of the remaining project sections is underway. The entire CTP project is anticipated to open to traffic in mid-2014.

Chisholm Trail Parkway construction spurs lane closures at Oakmont Boulevard and Dutch Branch Road starting Jan. 9

Now that construction teams are now fully mobilized between Overton Ridge Boulevard and Altamesa Boulevard, lane closures are necessary so crews can perform various construction activities. Construction in the 2.3-mile section will occur in two major phases and is expected to last approximately 28 months.
* Oakmont Boulevard from Verandas Circle to Arbor Lane
Crews will close one lane in each direction on Oakmont Boulevard between Verandas Circle and Arbor Lane as needed Monday through Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The closure is expected to last through late March so crews can lay the groundwork for a future detour.
* Dutch Branch Road between Harris Parkway and Oakmont Trail
Crews will close the westbound lanes of Dutch Branch Road between Harris Parkway and Oakmont Trail through Jan. 21. All traffic will be redirected to the eastbound side of Dutch Branch Road with one lane in each direction. Crews will be constructing the proposed culverts that cross Dutch Branch Road. A similar closure is expected to occur on the eastbound lanes of Dutch Branch Road from Jan. 21 through Feb. 4 to finish the eastbound culvert.
