| New Options for the Scout

The venerable Scout, 8GCBC, received upgrades this winter. 1. A new airfoil shape to the horizontal stabilizer was designed, test flown, and FAA approved. The new shape was implemented to better handle the 900 pounds of water and gear (located in the back seat!) for the aerial Water Bomber. I have flown the new design and find the handling characteristics outstanding. The cost of this option is $2,999.
2. The Forward Vision EVS 100/600 system was installed, tested, and FAA approved. The EVS100/600 is now an option on any new Scout. The system allows for enhanced night vision and is recommended for pilots flying IFR and or at night. The installed cost is $21,999. Forward Vision EVS 1003. Pilot switches such as the master switch, mags, and lights, were moved to the instrument panel from the overhead panel. This option allows the pilot easy access to the switches. Traditionally, in all American Champion products the switches were located in the overhead panel accessible to both pilots. The cost of this option is $0.00 and must be specially requested.* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Scout InternationalThe Scout was recently approved in India. Citabria Aurora 7ECA
| Fancy PantsThere's much more to this Aurora than fancy wheel pants! With the same fuselage as the Scout and Super D, the Aurora is spacious and comfortable. Equipped with 118HP O-235 Lycoming, the Aurora offers both great performance and impressive fuel economy. Once the Citabria of choice, the Aurora is still a favorite of flight
schools, recreational pilots, and aerobatics enthusiasts. This FAR Part 23 certified aircraft sips fuel at just over 5 GPH. The O-235 comes with a 2,600 Hour TBO! See this Garmin 696 Citabria Aurora on display at Oshkosh EAA AirVenture 2010.
So it's really not about fancy pants--but they are awfully cute! More Aurora Info. |

| The Super Decathlon Turns 40!!!
The first Decathlon was built in 1970. Forty years later, she sports a bigger
engine, metal spars and numerous other enhancements. The only certified
fully-inverted aerobatic aircraft in its class, the "Super D" remains a worldwide
favorite of aerobatic pilots who like to "mix it up-side down." Check out two spiffy Super Decathlons at the
American Champion display during Oshkosh EAA AirVenture 2010.
