These patient-level data reports are provided for all Medicare Fee-for-Service and Veterans Health Administration Medical Center patient stays that occurred between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2010. This data will be included in the July 2011 CMS Hospital Compare Web site refresh.

Abstraction Resource Paper Tools effective with April 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011 discharges are now available on QualityNet. These inpatient topic-specific (AMI, HF, PN & SCIP) documents are not just for CART users, but rather for all hospitals to use in conducting manual abstraction.

Validation Studies

Hospital Inpatient Validation results are now being released for those providers that have submitted records to CDAC for Q3 2010.

Validation selection for FY 2013 will begin shortly after the Q4 2010 Warehouse lock date, which is May 15, 2011. We are anticipating hospitals that are chosen to submit records, beginning with Q4 2010 cases, will be notified by the end of May 2011. The inpatient Validation section in QualityNet will be updated with the list of hospitals, at that time.
