iPhone 5 Announced

 


Whether you wanted a larger screen, faster processor or longer battery life, the iPhone 5 will not disappoint.  Even with the larger screen the iPhone 5 is lighter and ocmes with new Ear Pods that include noise canceling technology.  Not to mention the new Apple Maps to replace Google Maps or iOS 6 with tonnes of updated features. 
Don't worry, if you break the screen My Tech Guys can still fix it for you.

Thanks to all our customers that have attended our Tech Talks over the past few months.  We started in May and the response has been tremendous.  We apologize for canceling the past few courses but Bob had to deal with a family emergency.   

  

We have taken the feedback of students over the past 4 months to make our next set of courses even better.  Have an idea for a course, please send us a message

MTG Provides Free Wifi @ Local Events

My Tech Guys provided WiFi during the weekend of the Fall Fair in August. And this is not the first time My Tech Guys has provided WiFi for an event.

 

They worked with BTO last year at the last minute. "They were great. We called last year and asked if we could have Internet in the middle of a field with two days notice and Bob (Wells) was able to make it happen.  Have an event you want to have WiFi? Contact Us

Google Self Driving Car
GoogleCar Ever since Google began designing its self-driving cars, they've wanted to build cars that go beyond the capabilities of human-piloted vehicles, cars that are much, much safer. When Sebastian Thrun announced the project in 2010, he wrote..

"According to the World Health Organization, more than 1.2 million lives are lost every year in road traffic accidents. We believe our technology has the potential to cut that number, perhaps by as much as half."

Updates, Don't Forget

Most of us are familiar with the little pop-ups we get asking us to install updates.  While they only take a few minutes to complete, many of us are guilty of postponing them or just ignoring them completely. But keeping up with these computer updates is actually very important when it comes to having a healthy and secure computer. These updates are just as important as having an anti-virus program. 


 Some of the most common updates are:

  • Windows or Apple OS updates
  • Java (Update to the latest Version 7.7
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • Adobe Flash Player
  • Microsoft Office
  • Simply Accounting / Quickbooks 
  • iTunes
