ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR TRAVEL IN INDIA
Water: Avoid ice and unboiled water. Tea and boiled water are fine. Bottled water is generally safe, but check to make sure that the lid is sealed. You may wish to bring water-purification tablets. Food: Be sure to peel fruits and vegetables before eating. It is best to eat vegetarian food. Travel Insurance. A travel-insurance policy is essential. Keep the emergency contact details handy and familiarize yourself with the claims procedure. Electric Current: The voltage in India and Nepal is 220 volts with 50 Hz. A voltage converter and plug adapter (two round pins) are necessary for electronic devices from countries with 110 volt current.
