For those arriving on June 11, our kind local hosts will arrange transportation from the airport to the conference accommodations. On that day, there will be 2 volunteers waiting to receive you in the baggage claim area. If you arrive on another day, taxis are conveniently available at the airport to take you to your accommodations (addresses are on the Sakyadhita website).
Return airport transportation is not included in the registration fee, but taxi service is very convenient (about $15). Please send your flight details for both arrival and departure asap to Susan Balding: sbalding@student.umass.edu The conference venue is located about 18mi/30km from Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok.

A Green Conference
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We will follow in the Buddha's footsteps, "Leading to Liberation," by bringing "suitable things - things favorable to mental development."
The Sakyadhita conference will be as green as possible. We will do our best to learn to live simply, protect and be in tune with nature. The venue will create an environment where the heart can open and the Dhamma can flow easily. Do not expect anything glamorous. We will present a Thai artistic way of living. We will meet in a Dhamma garden where we can relax. Please consider coming to the conference as if you are coming for a retreat.
The conference hosts will provide a reusable water bottle, "Dhammasawasdee," which you can refill throughout the conference. If you would like bring your own, feel free to do so. Wear shoes that will slip off easily. Bring your own cushion, if you like, since we will often sit on the floor.
