Welcome to the October/November issue of my Coaching News. This is my Job Search Issue and is full of resume writing and interview techniques that will be of benefit to anyone looking for a new career direction - share this information with anyone you know who needs a little assistance too!
To set you on your way, read about how to Dust off Your Resume and then focus on your Accomplishments to strengthen your resume. When it comes to interviews, make sure you are Prepared for the Interview and how to handle the dreaded "So Tell Me About Yourself" question.
As always, I continue to coach many talented individuals through their career transitions and it's so rewarding when they secure new roles (some of them dream roles!) despite challenging economic conditions. I also enjoyed presenting for my 2nd year at the Reinvent Your Career Expo at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in September. This year my focus was on what makes a great resume. The response was fantastic and I gained so many new clients who took me on as their Coach for their resume requirements. I look forward to continued involvement in this expo in future years.

I was also invited to conduct a workshop in October for EA Directory, a new resource for Executive Assistants. Topics included How to Manage Your Manager, Networking for Career Management and Polish Your Professional Image. If you are an EA, EA Directory will help you to excel in your role!

Always up for a new challenge, I conducted a career planning session for a major Telco here in Sydney and was also asked to present live-to-camera for a presentation video streamed across Australia. This was a new experience for me and even though I was quite nervous at first, I was delighted it went so well and I am looking forward to doing it again later in October!
