What Are You Tolerating in Your Life?
The Tolerations exercise is one that I frequently use when starting in a coaching relationship with clients. It enables us to get rid of 'stuff' in order to move forward in our lives. Without even realising it, as we go through life we learn to tolerate so much. Do you put up with or accept, let yourself get dragged down by other people's behavior, unsatisfying situations, unmet needs, crossed boundaries, unfinished business, frustrations, problems, and even your own behavior?
I have a feeling that you are tolerating more than you think. So what are those tolerations? Before the New Year arrives, take a few minutes to write down all the stuff that you are tolerating. Do you have to do anything about them? Only when you are ready. Just becoming aware of and articulating them will create an awareness and, in time, a sense of urgency to do something about them. You will naturally start handling, eliminating, fixing, growing through, and resolving these tolerations. With each resolution you will free your energy to devote to what is truly important to YOU. What a wonderful thing to look forward to in the New Year!
Let me know how you are handling them - it's all part of personal growth! Download the Tolerations Worksheet here.

If not, what's happened? Or, more to the point, what's not happened?
Did you avoid tackling what needed to be done because it felt tough? Did you pretend that what you wanted to achieve was not really that important after all? Was it easier to simply not do the 'Tough Stuff" because you felt "I don't want to" or "I don't really feel like it right now" self talk in your head? Read More ...
