Welcome to the November edition of my Style Success Newsletter. 

It's been an extremely busy month in recruitment and I have to say how much I enjoy working with amazing candidates whom I am so happy to have been able assist on to the next step of their career ladder.  Having placed a business analyst, credit analyst, advertising sales executive and an MYOB specialist the past 4 weeks it's a great feeling of achievement.

I had a fabulous time at the Reinvent Your Career Expo last weekend at the Sydney Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour.  I met some amazing participants and also caught up with some career/life coaches whom I hadn't seen for a long time - spending time with them and sharing their experiences was most inspiring.  The two seminars  on "Effective Job Search Strategies" I presented were very well received and thanks to all the participants who took the time to meet with me afterward.  Do you have any suggestions for a caption for my photo below ... my husband suggested "... and the fish was SO big..."  but that's not what I had in mind! 
Jane Career talkI enjoyed the opportunity to assist on the C.D.A.A.'s booth at the Expo, coaching attendees on their career concerns. It's personally rewarding to give back to the community.


My September article on the 'Five Fears' continues to generate much interest and comments via email  There must be many of you who are looking to find ways to overcome what is holding you back from achieving your dreams.  Keep working on it - remain aware of the true reasons behind your actions.

How Authentic is Your Life?

I am inspired by people who have overcome difficulties in order to become who they WANT to be, achieving their goals and dreams.   I recently came across the Stanford University commencement speech given by Steve Jobs, founder and CEO of Apple Computer.   His speech was all about loving what you do.   He said he looks in the mirror every morning and asks himself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I'm about to do?"
