The 9th Annual Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival definitely lived up to its reputation of being "the place to be during the first week of June".

  

With the exception of a few hours of rain on Saturday Morning, the weather for this year's event was perfect.

  

The Opening Night Gala was well attended. The Blues Cruise attracted record numbers and the crowds at the ReMax/Discover Broadway and Broadway Garden main stages and the other venues throughout the Festival's weekend numbered in the thousands.

The success of this year's Festival - which was listed as one of the Top 100 Ontario Festivals by Festivals & Events Ontario - was a result of months of planning and the tireless efforts of an army of volunteers ~ to whom we owe a tremendous debt of thanks.

  

Also, the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival would not be the event it has become without financial support from the Province of Ontario's Celebrate Ontario Program and the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership, the Town of Orangeville, the Orangeville BIA, and our many local partners and sponsors ~ all of whom ensure Festival visitors can experience exceptional musical performances for FREE.

Our Festival is truly the result of a collaborative effort and its success is a testament to what a community can achieve by drawing on the talents of its people. Orangeville and the surrounding community should be very proud of its efforts in coming together to present this event.
