Welcome 2010
2009 What a year!
Out, Out, Dratted Spot!
Happy 2010!
The Lantern Queen brought in the New Year with two great parties. Thanks to DJ Kevin, both cruises rocked! And no Lantern Queen cruise is complete without Chef Gabe's yummy food and Bartender Sarah's tasty beverages! If these cruises were any indication, 2010 is going to be the year of the PARTY!
Valentine Cruises

Live jazz, a surf & turf menu, and a 2 hour dinner cruise. What could be more romantic? We've got two cruises to choose from, both afternoons from 2:00 - 4:00 PM so you can see the sights with your honey!
Christmas Parade
lil lq before hdg parade
Our buddy, Mitch Mitchell, owner of the "Little Lantern Queen," graciously entered it in the Havre de Grace Christmas Parade. Mitch also engineered the lantern brackets in the dining room, and is the artist who created the lovely Lantern Queen mirror behind the bar! Thanks Mitch!
It's About You
We are very blessed to own a business that allows us to meet so many wonderful people. Thank you all so very much for all you've added to our lives.

2250 White Tablecloths

Red wine, chocolate, coffee, tea, gravy, tomato based sauces, Thai peanut sauce, etc. decorate our white tablecloths. But I'm proud to say that we haven't lost a tablecloth yet! Here's the secrets:
  • We use a sturdy, high quality tablecloth. (Ours are a 50/50 cotton acrylic blend.)
  • The first thing we do after every cruise is spray the stains with a stain remover while the tablecloths still on the tables. We use Spray 'n Wash.
  •  All the tablecloths are stuffed into laundry bags and transported to our laundry facilities. And then they wait!
  • We treat those big uh-oh's (red wine, etc.) with a solution of 1/2 Hydrogen Peroxide and 1/2 dish detergent. This stuff will take out almost anything! We keep a bottle of this solution right next to the washing machine. If the stain is really scary looking, we work the solution into the fabric with a toothbrush.
  • Then we wash, dry, and fold the tablecloths, and they're ready to go again!
It works!
