In our continued effort to provide you with effective tools to reach your fitness goals, we have ourPilates Conditioning class with Victoria on Sundays at 12 p.m. open to all levels.
What is Exactly Pilates?
The primary goal is to develop a strong center of the body - abdominal, back, butt, and deep postural muscles. Each plays a key role in supporting the body's skeletal system. Other focal points include lengthening the spine, building lean muscles, increasing flexibility, and reviving the overall body awareness.
Pilates balances it out through correcting the body's asymmetries and chronic weaknesses. as well as rehabilitating back and joints (shoulder, hip, knee).
In the upcoming newsletters, we will talk more about its 8 principles as defined by Joseph Pilates.
For new and returning students this Sunday: the class theme is ROTATION. We will explore and work through a variety of rotational movements in your spine and joints targeting muscles responsible for those actions. As always, core stability is the primary focus.
