S&S Easy Start Gear Drive Cam Kit
S&S Easy Start Gear Drive Cam Kit
Want more mid-range torque? Looking for top end power? S&S Cycle offers a wide selection of camshaft profiles - from bolt-in performance to high life radical power, they have what you need to go from mild to wild!

S&S does recommend that a qualified dealer, such as Star Racing, install your camshafts and perform the necessary fuel delivery calibration changes. Save time and money by upgrading your pushrods at the same time. S&S Quickee pushrod kits have specially designed adjusters that permit quick installation with minimal disassembly.

Features & Benefits:
  • Start any engine with a stock starter
  • Save your starter and battery!
  • Reliable - tested for 100,000 accumulative starts and over 150,000 road miles without breakage or compression release failure
  • Automatic - no buttons to push

Here's How It Works:

  1. Each of the two exhaust cam lobes are equipped with a spring loaded compression release lobe on the "heel" of the cam at the point where the valve would normally be fully closed.
  2. The lobe holds the exhaust valve open slightly at cranking speed. This releases some of the compression, making the engine much easier to crank.
  3. Once the engine starts, and rpm increases, the compression release lobe is centrifugally retracted and the engine runs normally, with full compression,  and without any loss in performance. This allows a  stock starter and battery to start nearly any engine.
